Challenger Field of Dreams Celebrates Grand Opening

Phase One of the Carrier Park Challenger Field of Dreams is complete, and the facility is hosting a grand opening celebration this Saturday, May 21.  AOLA Partner, Tim Bonaparte, and Project Manager, Taylor Goldthwait, have been dedicated to the design of this project and are excited for the community to see the progress on this all-inclusive facility.  The multi-use athletic and park complex is designed to allow children of all abilities to play sports, including those with special needs.  Phase One includes a Gateway Building with concessions, restrooms, and meeting space that serves as an entryway to the facility, as well as two natural grass baseball fields which can be used for little league, softball, and kickball.  Design also includes green infrastructure including porous asphalt and permeable pavers.  All are invited to attend the grand opening at 2:00pm this Saturday.  Click the link to read an article about the complex and grand opening.
