Finger Lakes Community College Breaks Ground on New Athletic Facility
Friday, May 11, 2018 was an exciting day for Finger Lakes Community College (FLCC) and Appel Osborne Landscape Architecture (AOLA). A groundbreaking ceremony was held at the site of the College’s future athletic facility, designed by AOLA Partner, Tim Bonaparte, and Associate, Brittany Belding. The $5.9 million project will boast a multi-field synthetic turf athletic complex that will be home to FLCC’s men’s and women’s lacrosse, men’s and women’s soccer, baseball, and softball teams. The design includes multiple NJCAA compliant all-weather synthetic turf fields. A soccer and lacrosse field will be located in the outfield of the baseball field, and the complex will also feature a softball field. To complete the design, the complex will include dugouts with storage, bleacher seating at all fields, a press box with camera deck, and full stadium lighting. Congratulations to FLCC on the groundbreaking of this exciting project!
