Recreation Park Master Plan
- Develop a Master Plan Design, Phasing Options and Construction Estimate for a new, all-inclusive, multi-field athletic complex.
- Master Plan includes field layout, space requirements, bleacher seating capacities, sports field lighting, scoreboard(s), concession/restroom building sizes and layout, parking layout, storm water management concept, cut/fill analysis and other utility requirements.
- Facility also to include all-inclusive playground, tennis court, basketball courts, picnic pavilion and walking trail.
- Preparation of site plan graphic illustrating the final layout and related site and building improvements. The graphic plan will include potential phasing, alternates and future development opportunities.
- Preparation of 3-D animation and visual "fly through" of the project area for fundraising purposes.
- Investigation of SEQR documentation as requirements for agency review/approval, identify potential impacts and mitigation measures having cost implications.
- Prepare final cost estimate for each construction phasing option and other project costs to implement the entire project Master Plan.
Implementation began in 2014.
Phase One
- 3,000 s.f. Gateway Building with full concessions, restrooms and meeting space.
- First Phase of parking lot.
- Storm water management including a detention pond.
- Two natural grass baseball fields.
- Green infrastructure including porous asphalt and permeable pavers.
Phase Two
- Synthetic turf infields for baseball fields.
- All-inclusive/ADA playground and three basketball courts.
Subsequent Phases to include:
- Additional parking for a total of approximately 200 vehicles.
- Storm water management including a detention pond.
- Green infrastructure including porous asphalt and permeable pavers.
- Construction of pavilion/press box, restroom and maintenance buildings.
- Two natural grass baseball fields and multi-sport synthetic turf field.
- Bleacher seating for approximately 2,000 spectators, state-of-the-art LED sports lighting.
- Facility also to include picnic pavilion, walking trails designed with sustainable porous asphalt and permeable pavers.
